Fort William & Inverness, Scotland

Scotland is a gorgeous country and the best way to truly appreciate it is by car. Our first stop after leaving Glasgow was a short hike in Loch Lomond - our first real taste of the Scottish countryside and it was stunning! The whole drive up to Fort William was epic and we kept stopping to take pictures of the beautiful green rolling hills. We didn’t hitch a ride on the Jacobite Steam Train but we managed to catch it as it passed by - it was the train featured in the Harry Potter movies!

On our way to Inverness, we stopped by Urquhart castle alongside Loch Ness (didn’t spot Nessie but I was looking ;-)).

We stayed in Inverness, at the Premier Inn, for the night and it was such a charming town with fantastic pubs.

After many hours in the car, I learned that I LOVE the UK crisps selection- roast beef Monster Munch being high on the list of favorites.
